Thanks so much for stopping by and your interest in Alf & Alba Design and Emma Weston Illustration. As the name suggests, my name is Emma and I'm an illustrator based in Brierfield, East Lancashire. My background has always been in design and after a degree in Fashion Design, I designed sportswear for the UK high street for 10 years before deciding to start Alf & Alba and work for myself.

I love the freedom and variety that this job offers. I get to work on fabulous, creative projects, with amazing people, bringing their ideas to life and creating beautiful illustrations and stationery items.

I'm originally from Edinburgh, but have lived in the north of England for the last 13 years. When it came to naming my business, 'Alf' was after my son Alfie and 'Alba' is the Scottish Gaelic word for Scotland.

I live in Brierfield, near Manchester, with my husband Chris and our two boys Alfie and Tommy (I was a Peaky Blinders fan when they were both born ;) )

Originality
I'm an illustrator at the heart of it; therefore I draw and paint everything that I include in every project I work on by hand - from venue illustrations and cartoon drawings to painted foliage & florals. I don't use purchased clip art files or pre-drawn graphics, so you know your invitations are truly one of a kind.
Personality
There's just me behind the scenes here - I handle everything related to your order from start to finish - the illustrations and designing, print & production, sales, invoicing, customer service and everything in-between. I also LOVE weddings and helping you to bring your dream wedding stationery to life!
Services
As well as the creative and digital design required for your main stationery project. I also offer supportive services such as calligraphy - for guest addressing or day-of items like place names and menus. I can help to create a complete look for your stationery which will set the tone for your big day; telling your love story with personality.
